Purpose
The application is a virtual space for meeting and communicating between users of the application for the purpose of mutual education in various professional sectors and fields. The purpose of the application is to help its users to educate themselves and gain knowledge and professional know-how in selected fields from other users through video conference calls (remote face-to-face meetings between users) or watching videos stored in the application.
Definition of terms
"User" is a person who has access to the web application and consumption of the content of the application.
"Expert" is a User who provides professional know-how in the form of mentoring or consulting services.
"Meeting" is an online meeting between an Expert and a User via a video conferencing platform for the purpose of providing mentoring or advice.
"Stream" is a service enabling the broadcasting of a series of webinars, which the User can activate for a certain period of time.
"Webinar" is an online seminar broadcast via a video conferencing platform, which the User can join at the time of the broadcast, or which he can watch from the archive.
"Expertise" is an area of expertise that unites a professional community.
User registration
In order to use the Application, the User must have an active account on the LinkedIn social network. When logging in for the first time, the user chooses a specific Expertise in which he wants to develop further.
Upon successful login, a user account will be created for the user with data obtained from LinkedIn. These are the dates:
- Profile photo
- Name
- Surname
- E-mail
During registration, the "System language" is also set according to the language of the page at the time of registration, and the "Time zone" according to the user's browser settings. Furthermore, the "Date and time format" and the "Profile start filling" date are automatically set for the user as part of his Expertise. The user will be asked to complete the URL of their LinkedIn profile. After successful registration, the user will still have to agree to the General Terms and Conditions and GDPR rules.
Registration in response to referrals
A user can register for the application thanks to a recommendation from another user. In such a case, if there is a record that someone recommended the application to a newly registered user, then the first user who recommended the application to a newly registered user will receive credits for the activity and the movement of credits "Bonus credits for the recommended user" will be recorded for him.
Login
The user can log in using their LinkedIn account through the app. expertim .co , select your Expertise, and go to the application.
In case the user is deactivated or archived, he is shown a corresponding message with information to contact Expertim if he wants to restore access to the application.
After logging in, the user's data from LinkedIn is updated. And then it is checked whether the user has already agreed to the terms and conditions.
If the user was redirected to login from a page that requires login, after login the user is redirected back to this page and the user is selected the appropriate Expertise.
Emergency single sign-on
The user can log into the application using emergency single sign-on.
When clicking on the emergency single sign-on, the user is presented with a form:
- Login email
If the "Login Email" matches a user's "LinkedIn / Login Email" and the user is not deactivated or archived, an "Emergency Login Code" notification with a generated login code that has valid for 30 minutes.
If a valid e-mail address has been entered, continue to the next form:
- Login email
- One-time emergency code
After filling out the form, in case of an error, error messages are displayed and the user remains on the form.
If successful, the user is logged in and the appropriate Expertise is selected for the user.
Agreeing to terms
After successful registration, or when logging in again without agreeing to the terms and conditions, the user will be shown a page with the General Terms and Conditions and the Personal Data Protection Policy. The user must agree to these terms in order to proceed to the application.
Logging out
The user can log out of their account in the application. To use the functions associated with the user account, he will need to log in again. Until the user logs out using the button, he remains permanently logged in to the application.
